She's already starred in the biggest Bollywood blockbuster of all time, romanced the industry's hottest young actors, endorsed more brands than she knows what to do with, and now, Deepika Padukone is adding yet another feather to her very wide-brimmed hat.
The leggy, 27-year-old beauty has turned designer for venerable fashion label Van Heusen.
The Limited Edition Deepika Padukone collection features just a handful of dresses that ooze minimalist style and accentuate Padukone's seemingly never-ending legs.
The palate is subtle and monochromatic with a splash of rose pink and cobalt blue thrown in.
“Well, I’m hardly a designer. I think I am someone who has ideas but I’m not very good at executing. I’m very open to seeing new things and sharing my ideas, and then of course I need people to help me put it all together,” Padukone said in a statement.
“It’s a little bit of what I already have and what I would like to see myself wearing. The collection is really about wearing your own personality. That’s something I’ve always believed in. It’s important to not forget who you are,” she added.
The campaign for the clothing collection has been shot in Milan.
“We are absolutely delighted to co-create a line with Deepika Padukone exclusively for Van Heusen. These dresses are an ultimate combination of style, class, modernity and substance.
“Women fashion followers have been quite influenced by Deepika’s overall charisma, and these creations sparkle with her elegant style,” said Vinay Bhopatkar, brand head of Van Heusen.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
