Bollywood stars have given a resounding thumbs-up to Bombay Talkies, the collection of shorts marking 100 years of Indian cinema from directors Karan Johar, Dibakar Bannerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap.
Actors Konkana Sen Sharma, Riteish Deshmukh, Aamir Khan, Rahul Khanna, Juhi Chawla, Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra were among a host of celebrities who attended a special screening of the Cannes Film Festival selection on Monday.
The film, which will be released in India on Friday, was praised for its "authenticity" and "deft performances" by the actors, including Rani Mukherjee, Randeep Hooda, Nawazzudin Siddiqui.
Immediately after the screening celebs took to Twitter to sing the films' praises.
