Anurag Kashyap's Gangs ofWasseypur has bagged four nominations, including for best film and best director, at the 55th Asia-Pacific Film Festival.
The 7-hour, two part gangster epic, starring Manoj Bajpai, Nawazzuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi among others, has also received nominations in the Best Supporting Actress Category (Qureshi) and Best Art Direction (Sujkal Bose).
Actress Vidya Balan has been shortlisted in the best actress category for her turn as a distressed pregnant woman in 'Kahaani' whilst Anurag Basu's 'Barfi' has been nominated for its music score, composed by Pritam Chakraborty.
'Gangs' 1 & 2 will be vying for the best picture award alongside I Wish, Life Without Principle, Lore, Masquerade and Bunohan Apparat.
Thirty films will contend for the final awards in this year's festival which carries the theme, "The New Starting Line".
