Mastering a range of genres and languages, versatility is entwined within Priti Menon’s talent. Bhajans to pop, classical to RnB, or Hindi to Malayalam (to mention a very few), Priti Menon captures it all.
Ms Priti has very recently released her new single ‘Chupke Se’ on the 24th of September. Produced by Charles Bosco, Priti’s vocals pull on the heart strings together with the melodious sounds which tell the tale of love and separation.
Priti described both the challenges and the beauty with making ‘Chupke Se’ come true:
“The composition is so melodious that you will not want this song to end… This has been my toughest project so far with respect to both singing and video graphing. The entire team has put in super-human efforts in making this single possible and I hope our hard work pays off!”
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Priti embarked on musical training from the young age of seven. She moved to the UK to pursue studies and is currently based in London.
Since being discovered after her victory at the ‘Zee Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa Online Talent Hunt’ in 2010, Priti’s musical aspirations started to become known to the world.
Having worked and performed with prominent British Asian artists such as Arjun, Ash King and Bally Sagoo, Priti Menon is quickly becoming popular on the British Asian music scene.
Her collaboration with British Asian sensation Arjun for ‘Teri Meri’ (Remix) achieved more than a million You Tube hits in just half a year.
Moving away from the Bollywood/British RnB fusion, Priti released ‘Khabida’, a track exploring the classical sounds of South Asia.
Her collaboration with London based artist Kishan Amin, ‘Tujhe Maan Loon’ was produced by Rax Timyr, who holds credentials such as ‘Mumzy’- the famous UK based MC who is the first artist of Bangladeshi descent to enter mainstream music.
With the UK Asian music scene growing rapidly, Priti Menon’s versatile style offers many new dimensions and possibilities.
